Rmitbeta Launches 'Crypto for Cause' Charity Initiative with GreenFuture Foundation
Rmitbeta partners with GreenFuture Foundation to fund environmental projects using a portion of trading fees.
This week, Rmitbeta unveiled its latest community-driven initiative, 'Crypto for Cause,' a charitable program that dedicates a fixed fraction of platform trading fees to environmental sustainability projects. The exchange has selected the GreenFuture Foundation, a non-profit focused on reforestation and clean water access in Southeast Asia, as the inaugural beneficiary.
How It Works
Under the program, Rmitbeta will automatically allocate 0.05% of every trade executed on its platform to a dedicated charity pool. At the end of each quarter, the accumulated funds are transferred to GreenFuture Foundation. The exchange has also set up a public dashboard so users can track contributions in real time.
- Transparent impact: All transactions are recorded on-chain for public verification.
- Community vote: Rmitbeta plans to let token holders propose and vote on future beneficiaries each year.
- Local focus: The first projects target mangrove restoration in Vietnam's Mekong Delta.
"We believe crypto should be a force for good," said a Rmitbeta spokesperson. "By turning everyday trading into a funding engine for the planet, our community can directly make a difference."
Rmitbeta expects the initiative to channel millions of dollars into environmental work over the next 12 months, pending trading volumes. The exchange is also exploring partnerships with educational charities for future quarters.
